Overview:
One of the immediate aspects of facial beauty that is noticed is the appearance of an individual’s facial skin. This webinar will discuss the different aspects of facial skin pathology and treatments that are commonly addressed in the cosmetic dermatologist’s office. Actinic damage and aging – along with resultant rhytids, skin laxity, vascularity and pigmentation disorders – will be addressed. Treatment protocols for conservative therapies – such as skin care, chemical peels, microneedling/PRP, RF and ultrasonic modalities – will be reviewed. Different options for non-ablative, sublative and ablative laser therapies will be discussed. In addition, complications arising from these treatments will be presented.
This 60-minute webinar will teach the participant to recognize common cosmetic skin complaints of patients and develop a tiered strategy of therapy that will predictably lead to facial skin improvement.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Identify and describe common cosmetic concerns of the facial skin.
• Analyze patient factors contributing to a non-cosmetic appearance of the facial skin and develop a tiered approach to treatment and improvement.
• Review common complications of facial skin therapies and develop a regimen for corrective action.
