This educational course defines and addresses both chronic and acute pain management focusing on how to utilize non-opioid pain therapies, including current innovative approaches
in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
• Understand and define “pain”
• Understand and differentiate between “chronic” and “acute” pain
• Understand and apply multiple non-opiate treatments for chronic and acute pain
• Describe current “best practices” in chronic and acute pain management
