MDS-AOS Neuropathology and Neuroimaging Integrated Education Course for Movement Disorders
MDS-AOS Neuropathology and Neuroimaging Integrated Education Course for Movement Disorders is organized by International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) and will be held from Feb 16 - 17, 2024 at Seoul National University Hospital Medical Research and Innovation Center, Seoul, South Korea.
Description:
The MDS-AOS Neuropathology & Neuroimaging Integrated Education Course for Movement Disorders will provide a comprehensive overview of neuropathological findings in movement disorders, educational and recent advances of neuroimaging, and sessions for practical approach to the patients with impressive clinicopathologic case discussion. We invited the renowned specialists in their respective scientific fields, and participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic and up-to-date knowledge, explore research topics, and build collaborative connections through face-to-face interactions.
Course Purpose:
The primary purpose of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview of neuropathological findings in movement disorders.
Neuropathology is the most important field in understanding the etiology and pathophysiology of movement disorders. Neuroradiology makes it possible to observe structural or functional alterations caused by pathological changes in movement disorders. Therefore, there is a need for an integrated curriculum of the two fields which can be an excellent opportunity to understand movement disorders.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity learners will be able to:
• Identify, classify, and compare the neuropathology of movement disorders
• Describe, classify, and compare the neuroimaging of movement disorders
• Associate the clinical characteristics to the neuroimaging features and neuropathology in individual cases
