In this Research-Oriented Career Knowledge and Support (ROCKS) web session, experienced investigators shared how they successfully transitioned from mentored to independent research, not only from the grant writing perspective but also on how they managed different roles and expectations that came from such a transition.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify the NIH career development K awards to help early career scientists become independent.
• Implement strategies for a successful transition from mentored to independent research.
