Academic Affairs Education Forum offers programs during the academic year that are open to faculty and directors in academic departments who have responsibility for medical student, resident and fellow supervision, budgetary oversight, and project or program management across one or more functional areas. Academic Affairs Education Forum will facilitate an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of faculty in higher education. Opportunities to network and learn more about how to function more effectively as a faculty are included in this program.
Objectives:
After participating in this activity, successful participants will be able to:
• discuss the possible effects of stress and trauma on physicians
• discuss the use of the “Stress Continuum” to assess a stress response
• identify strategies to build resilience in the face of stress
