The Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association (NSAUA), Inc.

The Northeastern Section (NSAUA) is one of the American Urological Association’s eight geographic Sections, with approximately 800 urologists (60 percent U.S. and 40 percent Canadian). The Section includes 16 urology residency training programs where a total of approximately 180 residents are currently attending. A primary mission of the Section is to assure the membership of the NSAUA continuing excellence in research and educational activity within our Section. The Section includes a 501(c)(6) membership organization that proudly provides an excellent scientific meeting each Fall that includes State-of-the-Art speakers, podium and poster sessions, exhibits and social networking activities. The Section has a 501(c)(3) Foundation which provides annual scholarship grants to research scholars in basic or clinical sciences related to urology, and to acquiring, developing or improving knowledge and skills in a specific aspect of the specialty.

• Provide state-of-the-art education to practicing urologists, trainees, allied practitioners and the public on urological conditions.
• Support innovative research on the diagnoses, prevention, causes, and treatments of urological disorders.
• Promote the publication of high quality urological clinical and fundamental research.
Provide the tools for members to become leaders in urology.

The Northeastern Section of the AUA will stand at the forefront of education and research promoting excellence in the specialty of urology serving both its members and the public. The Section will be driven by the different challenges and socioeconomic conditions between the United States and Canada fostered by our unique geographic boundaries.
