Italian Society of Endodontics / Societa Italiana di Endodonzia (SIE)

The SIE was born in 1974 on the wish of Prof. Pecchioni, second in Europe after the British experience, but first in size with more than 800 members throughout Italy.
The history of Their Association begins in October 1970 when, on the inspiration of Dr. Giuseppe Cozzani, Dr. Gianfranco Borsotti, Dr. Riccardo Garberoglio, Prof. Franco Mantero, Prof. Augusto Pecchioni, Dr. Vincenzo Spina and Dr. Sergio Duillo decided to start the Endodontic Study Group.
The Statute drafted by them stated: "The purpose of this group is to facilitate the acquisition and growth of their knowledge by the individual members, through the exchange of opinions, experiences, information, etc.".
In 1974, at the wish of Prof. Pecchioni, the Study Group decided to organize and change its name: thus the Italian Society of Endodontics was born, second in Europe after the British experience, but, today, first in terms of number of members.. In fact, the Company currently has over eight hundred members, distributed throughout Italy.
