Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC)

HISTORY
Organized in 1986 under the direction of neurologists dedicated to clinical care of MS, the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) has evolved into a multi-disciplinary organization providing a team approach to MS care and a network for all health care professionals and related specialists in the care of persons with MS. Since 1986, the CMSC has grown rapidly. With over 250 member centers in the United States and Canada, represents over 12,000 health care professionals worldwide who provide care for more than 250,000 individuals with MS and their families.
Vision:
To be the pre-eminent organization of Multiple Sclerosis health care professionals whose goal is to improve the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis.
Mission:
The Mission of the CMSC is to:
• Develop and sustain successful models of care to address the disease spectrum of multiple sclerosis (MS)
• Stimulate and facilitate research in the field of multiple sclerosis.
• Develop mechanisms with which to share information and knowledge among CMSC members and all those affected by MS.
• Influence the provision of the best in health care delivery.in multiple sclerosis and related disorders.
• Partner with other entities to facilitate the mission as stated above.
