Brazilian Society of Pulmonology and Tisiology / Sociedade Brasileira de Pneumologia e Tisiologia (SBPT)

The Brazilian Society of Pulmonology and Tisiology (SBPT) is a non-profit medical entity, affiliated to the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), which brings together respiratory health professionals to disseminate science with social responsibility and fight for medical qualification.
SBPT develops projects in partnership with AMB, Ministry of Health, Federal Council of Medicine (CFM), state pulmonology societies and foreign associations of Respiratory Medicine, such as ALAT, ATS, ERS, ACCP, APRS, SPP and SEPAR.

Mission:
To bring together and represent, in all relevant instances, pulmonologists and other professionals working in Respiratory Health in the country, promoting continuous professional qualification and excellence in the entire scope of Pulmonology, in favor of the quality of patient care. Stimulate partnerships, scientific research and production of knowledge in Pulmonology.
Vision:
To be a medical society recognized for excellence in educational practices in Pulmonology, promoting updates that result in quality and safety in patient care. To be recognized for good administrative management practices and to be a reference in medical associations.

Ethics, respect for life and a humanistic perspective in all actions, valuing the professional dignity of associates, in the interests of the patient and the community.
