Course Description:
Cutaneous histiocytoses are relatively rare disorders that most physicians have little experience with. This course is an up-to-date review of the clinical and pathologic features of these disorders with abundant high-resolution images that illustrate key histopathologic features for diagnosis. The information and illustrations in this course can be used as a ready reference for practicing Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, Dermatologists, Pediatricians, and other physicians.
Objectives:
• To understand the classification of histiocytoses and related disorders
• To learn the clinical and histologic features of different types of histiocytoses, with emphasis on clinicopathologic correlation
• To become familiar with the immunophenotypes of different histiocytes and their pathologic correlates
