Supervision Models And Skills Course 2024

Supervision Models And Skills is organized by Core Wellness LLC and will be held on Aug 06, 2024.
Course Description:
This course is designed for mental health therapists seeking to enhance their supervision skills. The course will cover supervision theories and skills, including an overview of seven key supervision theories: Traditional, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Feminist, Person-centered, Developmental and Integrated. Participants will learn how to apply these theories to different supervisees and situations, and will explore the impact of different supervisory styles on supervisees.
The models of supervision will go beyond what Kedushin (administrative duties) discussed, and review several models of supervision, in settings offering individual, small group and tele-health supervision. Some models are developmental in nature and others are authoritative. The theoretical underpinnings of each model and the pros and cons of each model will be presented.
Learning Objectives:
Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Recall the fundamentals of the developmental, supportive and confrontational models of clinical supervision.
• List key features of at least 3 supervision models
• Analyze various models of clinical supervision, including advantages and disadvantages of each.
• Apply concepts for determining the most effective format for supervision when problems arise.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
