This program will highlight stroke scales and prehospital management in the field, IV thrombolytic therapy inclusion and exclusion factors, transfers for mechanical thrombectomy, an overview of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke and so much more!
Program Objectives:
• Review hemorrhagic stroke pathophysiology
• Discuss hemorrhagic stroke presentation
• Identify initial management of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke
• Indicate initiation of tPA
• Explain how to utilize the RACE scale
• Define the parameters around the last known well time
• Differentiate indications and counter-indications of thrombolytic therapy
