Course Objectives:
After completing this course, the participant should be able to:
• Understand the imaging planes used in echocardiography
• Describe a normal M-mode echo tracing
• Recognize normal and abnormal M-mode tracings
• Explain the transducer selection and patient position for a cardiac examination
• Understand the imaging planes used in echocardiography
• Know how to perform parasternal, apical, subcostal, and suprasternal images
• Describe a normal 2D echocardiographic examination
