This conference provides participating physicians and healthcare providers the tools and knowledge to handle the numerous demands placed on a community-based hospitalist program. Skills will be developed across the continuum; including intensive care, acute care medicine, pain management, and updates in HIV therapies. The purpose of this meeting is to identify common issues pertinent to hospital-based medicine, including clinical, administrative, and quality challenges currently at the forefront of hospital medicine.
