AQMSE and FMOQ Days - Cervical Spine and Shoulder (Sep 26 - 27, 2024)

The Quebec Association of Sports and Exercise Physicians (AQMSE) and Federation of General Practitioners of Quebec (FMOQ) Days - Cervical Spine and Shoulder is organized by Federation of General Practitioners of Quebec / Federation Des Medecins Omnipraticiens Du Quebec (FMOQ) and will be held from Sep 26 - 27, 2024 at PEPS from Laval University, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
SEPTEMBER 26, 2024: CERVICAL SPINE
SEPTEMBER 27, 2024: SHOULDER
The family doctor's practice requirements lead him or her to see many patients with musculoskeletal problems. The Quebec Association of Sports and Exercise Physicians (AQMSE) has given itself the mandate to facilitate and improve the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of these problems in order to offer the family doctor a method efficient and compatible with his busy schedule. We are pleased to invite you, in collaboration with the FMOQ, to participate in one or other of the ten days of training aimed at family doctors who want to improve their knowledge and basic practice on the device locomotor.
Each training day presents a specific region. You will be able to take a more focused history, perform a methodical physical examination with a colleague, and make a judicious choice regarding paraclinical examinations, treatment, and specialty referrals. You and your patient will certainly derive great satisfaction from it. These days will consist of a mix of lectures and practical sessions where you will examine a colleague. The trainers are doctors specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, such as sports doctors, physiatrists, and orthopedists. Four trainers are brought together to offer training to a maximum of 40 participants. We want each participant to get the most out of it. Infiltration workshops on the shoulder and knee are offered during training. When the situation allows, we try to accommodate a few patients whose condition requires infiltration. A period is also allocated for teaching exercises which can then be passed on to your patients. The days conclude with a review of the practical physical exam as well as a period of open questions.
